Student-Designed Sculptures Unveiled at Art on the Square VIP Reception

Belleville West Students Produces Two New Art Sculptures through High School Sculpture in the City Program. Students from Belleville West High School in Belleville, along with shareholders from the law firm Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd., (MM&R) and artist Marina Lee, unveiled the City’s newest sculptures to a crowd of several hundred guests attending Art on the Square’s VIP Reception in downtown Belleville Fri., May, 15, 2015. Art teacher Cari Casper-Basler and her students worked with Lee to design the pieces as part of Art on the Square’s High School Sculpture in the City program, an interactive arts project that challenges local students to create one-of-a-kind sculptures for their school campuses. The program is sponsored by Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd. a long-time, recognized supporter of the arts in Belleville and surrounding communities.

Calling All Artists! 2015 Holiday Card Contest

The law firm of Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd., is looking for local artists willing to share their creativity for its 2015 holiday card. Artists may submit electronically a winter-themed masterpiece by Oct. 15, 2015, to be included in the competition. The artist is not limited by medium, but must follow the guideline of “winter-themed” and should include no reference to any specific religion or holiday celebration such as Christmas, Kwanzaa or Hanukkah. File formats accepted are .jpg, .pdf and .ai. Files submitted must be 300 dpi.
