Stine at Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd. Nominated to Serve on Board of Directors for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago

Belleville, IL, September 15, 2011. Kevin J. Stine, a shareholder at Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd., has been nominated to serve as an independent director on the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago is an $84 billion wholesale bank, serving the needs of member finance institutions located in Illinois and Wisconsin.

An independent director must possess knowledge of or experience in one or more of the following areas: auditing and accounting, derivatives, financial management, organizational management, project development, risk management practices and the law. Stine has been representing financial institutions for almost 25 years. He is a former chairman of the Illinois State Bar Association's Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Section Council, and he is an associate member of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois and the Illinois Bankers Association. Stine was also recently appointed by Justice Lloyd A. Karmeier to serve on the Illinois Supreme Court's special committee formed to study and formulate proposals to help those facing the loss of their homes and improve the judicial process in mortgage foreclosures throughout Illinois.
