Bradley Small Named Member of Commercial Banking, Collections & Bankruptcy Law for 2016- 2017

Bradley W. Small, a shareholder in the law firm of Mathis, Marifian & Richter, Ltd. (MM&R) was recently re-appointed to serve as a Member of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Commercial Banking, Collections & Bankruptcy Law for 2016-2017.
Small, an attorney at MM&R, was pleased to hear of his nomination. “It was nice to be recognized for the work that I’ve done. I look forward to making a contribution to the very important work of the Association.”
The mission of the ISBA Commercial Banking, Collections and Bankruptcy Law is to promote professional excellence in the areas of commercial law and practice, banking law and practice and bankruptcy law and practice by providing a forum for the interchange of information, experience and available materials relative to commercial, banking and bankruptcy law; to provide practical information, monitor fields of interest and anticipate problems for the profession through the practice and through the review of proposed new legislation and amendments to existing legislation; and to promote excellence in practice through presentation of continuing legal education programs in areas of current interest to the profession.
Small focuses his practice on banking law, bankruptcy, real estate law, estate planning, and commercial litigation, and has more than 37 years’ experience in handling these matters for financial institutions and commercial enterprises. In addition, he has represented clients in cases involving breach of contracts, bank collections, foreclosures, real estate disputes, probate litigation, bankruptcy, estate and corporate matters.
Small is an AV preeminent rated attorney, which is the highest certification awarded by Martindale-Hubbell and only given to a small percentage of all lawyers nationally. He has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer in the areas of banking and financial institution law, commercial litigation, creditor’s right/commercial collections, probate and real estate law, a distinction given to only the top 5% of lawyers. Small is currently a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Banking, Bankruptcy & Commercial Litigation Section. He practices law in both Belleville and Nashville, Illinois and throughout Southern Illinois and Missouri.
