  • Acted as the primary attorney in litigation in which a farm employee lost his arm in a farm accident. Settlement approaching $1 million was paid.
  • Contested probate action representing claimants in a will construction suit. Case was tried and the judgment given was valued in excess of $2 million.
  • Contested probate action representing a claimant with a right to purchase real estate under the terms of the will. The settlement reached was valued over $500,000.
  • Represented a surgeon for wrongful termination of his contract by a hospital group. The settlement reached was in excess of $500,000.
  • Filed numerous lawsuits on behalf of shareholders of corporations and members of LLCs for violations of fiduciary duties by officers, directors, members and managers.
  • Represented a bank in defense of a shareholder derivative action.
  • Negotiated a settlement on behalf of a bank to recover losses sustained as a result of employee theft. Recovery was in excess of $700,000.
  • Successfully defended a real estate fraud claim where the plaintiff was seeking to set aside a real estate transaction worth in excess of $500,000.
  • Successfully tried a boundary line dispute lawsuit.
  • Tried numerous bankruptcy cases involving Motions for Relief from Stay and Objections to Confirmation.
  • Successfully tried a Complaint Objecting to Discharge and Dischargability of Debt in bankruptcy court.
  • Represented banks in numerous mortgage foreclosures and replevins.
  • Successfully negotiated a trust termination and settlement with a trustee for breach of duties.
  • Represented a decedent’s estate in a lawsuit against a trust seeking recovery in excess of $1 million based upon Illinois Principal and Income Act.
  • Represented a general contractor in a lawsuit against a subcontractor for issues involving workmanship and breach of contract. Obtained a judgment valued in excess of $150,000.
