Kevin J. Stine
Kevin Stine, who has been a shareholder at Mathis, Marifian & Richter (MM&R) since 1994, focuses his practice in banking law, bankruptcy, real estate law, commercial litigation and civil litigation. Currently, Kevin is the chairman of MM&R’s Finance Committee.
Kevin has more than 20 years experience handling litigation matters for financial institutions and commercial enterprises. He has represented clients in cases involving breach of contracts, bank collections, foreclosures, real estate disputes, probate litigation, bankruptcy and corporate matters. He has also been the primary attorney on many of MM&R’s largest civil cases.
Kevin is an AV© Preeminent rated attorney, which is the highest certification awarded by Martindale-Hubbell and only given to a small percentage of all lawyers nationally. Martindale-Hubbell is an independent rating service of lawyers throughout the United States. Periodically, it sends letters to lawyers and asks for a confidential assessment of specific lawyers. These ratings then allow Martindale-Hubbell to “rate” lawyers. Kevin has also been recognized as a Leading Lawyer by his peers, a distinction given to less than 5% of Illinois lawyers.
Besides practicing law in MM&R’s Belleville office, Kevin also actively practices in Nashville, Illinois, and throughout Southern Illinois.
